Lessons

I've been teaching for the last 25 years.  Over this time I have developed a method comprised of a number of different important elements of music.

In the past, students have come to me with different goals in mind for taking lessons. Whether it be for recreation, or more serious intentions, all levels of players from beginners to advanced, or students preparing for post secondary auditions are welcomed.

Instruction is conducted in a private lesson, of either ½ hour or 1 hour intervals.  Study materials include: reading, dexterity exercises, ear training, basic to advanced theory, musical styles and techniques, improvisation and creating bass lines in the various styles of music. All materials will be customized to be applicable to your instrument and various styles of music.

In addition to traditional methods of study I have also incorporated the use of music software for theory, ear training and recording.  This will enhance each student's opportunity of achieving their goals faster and enable them to play music that will be recorded on their project CD.

These are some of the methods and concepts that will provide you with the necessary tools to develop those musical, technical and personal skills required to grow on your instrument and enjoy playing music at any level.  Music will help build up many components useful in life like confidence, self-discipline, charter, and expression. Most of all it's a lot of FUN!!!!!
